Bio

George Junior Porter was born on December 8, 1956. He grew up in Idaho. He had several relationships. He was known to have had issues in his personal life, including conflicts with girlfriends. Testimonies from his former partners later revealed that he had been abusive.

Murder Story

On December 26, 1988, police responded to a report concerning Teresa L. Jones, a 29-year-old woman from Kamiah, Idaho. She had not been seen for several days. When officers entered her home, they found her body in her bedroom. She was covered with a sleeping bag and appeared to be naked.

The police discovered that Teresa had been severely beaten. There were injuries to her face, head, and lower body. Nearby, they found clumps of hair that matched Teresa's. An autopsy revealed that hair had been pulled from her scalp in several spots.

George Junior Porter, Teresa's former boyfriend, became the main suspect in her death. During the investigation, it was noted that Porter had a history of abusing his previous girlfriends. Many witnesses testified about his violent behavior, which included pulling out clumps of their hair during attacks.

Porter was charged with first-degree murder for Teresa's death. The trial included evidence of his previous abusive actions. The jury found him guilty on January 26, 1990. On September 7, 1990, he was sentenced to death.

Years later, in 2008, Porter sought a new trial based on claims of new DNA evidence. However, a judge ruled that the new evidence was inconclusive and unlikely to change the original verdict.
