Bio

Freddie Lee Webb was born on August 17, 1960. He grew up in Texas, where he faced challenges during his early life. Information about his family background and childhood experiences is limited. It is known that he had some interactions with the law as a young man.

Webb had a history of criminal behavior starting from a young age. He found himself in trouble with the law several times. By the time he was an adult, he had already accumulated a criminal record. This included serious offenses that would lead to time spent in prison.

In the early 1980s, Webb was involved in serious crimes that resulted in significant sentences. He was convicted for offenses such as aggravated robbery and theft. He also faced charges for the rape of a child. As a result, he received a ten-year prison sentence. However, he served less than four years and was released.

After his release, Webb struggled to stay out of trouble. He returned to criminal activities shortly after leaving prison. His life continued to spiral downward as he engaged in more violent acts.

Freddie Lee Webb's early life shaped his future actions. His challenges, criminal history, and interactions with the law laid a path that led to serious consequences later in life.

Murder Story

On December 8, 1985, Freddie Lee Webb and an accomplice approached Leopoldo Cantu and his wife, Elizabeth, after they finished closing a restaurant. They forced the couple to return to the restaurant to help them access the safe. Elizabeth later testified that Webb assured them they would not be harmed during the robbery. However, after they obtained the money, Webb realized he might be recognized by Leo Cantu.

To prevent this, Webb and his accomplice left Elizabeth tied up in the restaurant. They took Leo to a remote area in Corsicana, Texas, where he was shot five times and left to die. Elizabeth eventually freed herself and called the authorities, but it was too late for Leo.

Webb was arrested on March 29, 1986, after committing another robbery. It was found that he had the murder weapon in his possession at the time of his arrest. Webb had been out of prison for only 11 months following a previous sentence for serious crimes.

In October 1986, Webb was convicted of capital murder during his trial. He received the death penalty in a trial that concluded with the jury affirmatively answering questions necessary for a death sentence. Webb was executed by lethal injection on March 31, 1994. His last statement was simply "Peace."
