Franklin DeWayne Alix was born on August 6, 1975, in Harris County, Texas. As a child, he was very active in his church community. He sang in the choir and even taught Sunday school. Alix described his upbringing as strict, which had a significant impact on his early years.
Despite his involvement in the church, Alix began to show troubling behavior during his teenage years. He had his first run-in with the law in 1992 when he tried to steal a bus, resulting in a six-month sentence for theft. This marked the beginning of his criminal activities, which would escalate over time.
In 1993, Alix was arrested again for stealing a car from a woman’s driveway. This crime led to a three-year prison sentence for motor theft, and he was released in 1996. Not long after, in 1996, he was found carrying a pistol and ammunition illegally, which resulted in a 70-day jail sentence.
murder story
Franklin DeWayne Alix was a serial killer responsible for the deaths of several people in Houston, Texas, during the late 1990s. His victims included women he lured into secluded areas before attacking them. Alix's method involved shooting his victims, often after robbing them.
In one instance, Alix murdered Patricia Miller, a 39-year-old woman, in her apartment. He also killed 31-year-old Lillian Bolden in a similar manner. His violent spree created widespread fear in the community.
Alix was arrested on September 11, 1998, after being linked to the murders through ballistic evidence and witness testimonies. During his trial, the prosecution presented strong evidence, including Alix's own confessions to the killings. He was found guilty and sentenced to death.
While on death row, Alix appealed his sentence multiple times, but his appeals were denied. On March 30, 2010, he was executed by lethal injection in Huntsville, Texas. Alix's case remains a chilling reminder of his brutal crimes and their impact on the victims' families.
