Francisco de Assis Pereira was born on November 29, 1967, in São Paulo, Brazil. His early life was marked by significant trauma when he was molested by his aunt. This disturbing experience led him to develop a fixation on breasts. As he grew older, he faced further complications in his personal life. He was seduced by his boss into engaging in homosexual relationships. One of these relationships was with a Goth man who almost caused him severe harm, leading to Francisco's fear of losing his reproductive organ.

During his adult life, Francisco exhibited troubling behavior. He lived with a travesti named Thayna for more than a year. Thayna reported that he had been physically abusive toward her, claiming he punched her in the stomach and slapped her face. This pattern of violence later appeared in reports from other women who encountered him.

Due to the traumatic experience with the Goth man, Francisco began to experience pain during sexual acts. It is believed that this inability to derive pleasure from such experiences contributed to his dark behavior in later years.

murder story

Francisco de Assis Pereira targeted women in São Paulo between 1997 and 1998. He approached them primarily at subway stations. He often posed as a talent scout for a modeling agency, promising the women participation in photo shoots. His victims were usually vulnerable, often appearing sad or emotionally troubled.

One of his first known victims was Elisângela Francisco da Silva. She was 21 years old when she disappeared after being left at a mall. Her body was later found in the State Park, identified three days after her death. Another victim, Raquel Mota Rodrigues, vanished after accepting an offer from Pereira to model for him. Her last call to her cousin was a warning sign, but she never returned home. Raquel's body was discovered a week later.

Selma Ferreira Queiroz was a minor who disappeared shortly after calling her boyfriend. A ransom demand followed, but her body was found the same day. Selma showed signs of violence, sexual assault, and strangulation. Patrícia Gonçalves Marinho had a dream of being a model but her life was cut short when she vanished after leaving her grandmother's house. Her body was later identified by belongings found nearby.

Pereira's crimes were discovered after a series of investigations led to his capture on August 4, 1998. His arrest ended a 23-day manhunt when a fisherman recognized him from media coverage. He had left clues, including a note and a sketch of himself. Law enforcement was puzzled by how he managed to persuade women to accompany him willingly.

After his arrest, Pereira confessed to various crimes, including the rape and murder of multiple women. He received a lengthy prison sentence totaling 268 years. Pereira claimed external forces influenced his actions, expressing regret over his crimes while inconsistently justifying his behavior. In prison, he gained notoriety and received numerous letters from admirers, indicating a certain fascination with his persona.
