Bio

Donald Jay Miller, also listed as Don Jay Miller, was born on May 21, 1963. By 1992, Miller was living in Arizona and knew Jose Anthony Luna. Luna was the boyfriend of Jennifer Geuder and the father of her young child. Prosecutors said Luna wanted Geuder killed because she was asking him for child support payments. Luna then asked Miller to help with the murder.

On June 12, 1992, Geuder went out with Luna and Miller, not knowing that Luna had planned to kill her. Miller later played a direct role in her death and was sentenced to death for the murder.

Murder Story

On June 12, 1992, Jennifer Geuder went out with her boyfriend, Jose Anthony Luna, and Donald Jay Miller. Jennifer did not know that Luna had planned to kill her because she was asking him for child support payments. Luna and Miller took Jennifer to the Mount Lemmon area. Luna shot her once in the head, but she survived. They then drove her to a desert area east of Tucson.

Jennifer tried to escape and hide under the car. Miller then shot her five more times in the head. Her body was found the next day, June 13, 1992, by a jogger. Luna pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and received a life sentence. Miller went to trial and was found guilty of premeditated first-degree murder and kidnapping on July 12, 1993

On December 20, 1993, Miller was sentenced to death. His conviction and sentence were later upheld by the Arizona Supreme Court. Miller chose not to continue all available federal appeals. On November 8, 2000, he was executed by lethal injection at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Florence. His confirmed victim count is one: Jennifer Geuder.
