Demetrius Terrence Frazier was born on October 29, 1972, in Michigan. He lived with his mother, Carol, and had one sister. Demetrius's childhood was troubled. He experienced neglect and, at one point, came under the care of social services. As a child, he often sneaked out of his house at night to engage in minor criminal activities. Due to his circumstances, he struggled academically and dropped out of high school at a young age.

Throughout his early years, Frazier encountered legal troubles. As a juvenile, he faced charges for carrying concealed weapons. He also violated his probation for both carrying concealed weapons and breaking and entering. His actions led to his detention at a facility called W.J. Maxey Boys Training School, a correctional school for adolescents in Michigan. While there, he earned a General Educational Development (GED) diploma.

murder story

Demetrius Terrence Frazier committed two murders between 1991 and 1992. The first murder was of Pauline Starks Brown in Birmingham, Alabama, on November 27, 1991. Frazier attempted to rob her apartment after noticing the light on. He gained entry by removing a window screen. Once inside, he found Brown asleep and woke her. He demanded money, and she gave him $80 from her purse. He then threatened her with a gun and forced her into a sexual act. Despite her pleas for her life, Frazier shot her in the back of the head. He briefly left the apartment to ensure no one had heard the gunshot. When he returned, he discovered that she had died. After searching for more money and eating some food, he left and disposed of the gun. Brown's body was discovered later by a friend who had come to check on her.

The second murder happened on March 8, 1992, in Detroit, Michigan. Frazier encountered Crystal Kendrick, a 14-year-old runaway girl, and confined her in an abandoned house. Attempting to rape her, he shot her as she tried to escape. Her body was found with a gunshot wound to the head. Following this murder, Frazier was identified as a suspect and was included on the wanted list. He was arrested later that month, and during police questioning, he confessed to killing Pauline Brown.

Frazier faced trials in both Michigan and Alabama for his crimes. In Michigan, he was convicted of the murder of Kendrick and multiple charges of rape and robbery, receiving life sentences. In Alabama, he was convicted of capital murder for the death of Brown and also received a death sentence. He was sentenced to death by the court in 1996. After a series of appeals, Frazier was executed by nitrogen hypoxia on February 6, 2025, in Alabama. His last meal consisted of food from Taco Bell, and he made a final statement apologizing for his actions.
