Bio

Bradley William Stone was born in 1979. He grew up in Pennsylvania. Not much is known about his early childhood. He attended local schools. Later, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Stone served in Iraq for a short period in 2008.

After his military service, Stone returned to Pennsylvania. He faced challenges adjusting to life after combat. He experienced symptoms often associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In 2010, he was officially diagnosed with this condition. The Veterans Affairs office rated him "100 percent service-connected disabled."

Stone married Nicole Hill in 2004. They had two daughters, Shannon and Kayla. The couple divorced in 2009. After the divorce, things between them became tense. They struggled with ongoing custody disputes over their daughters. This situation created a lot of stress and conflict.

Bradley Stone faced legal troubles related to drinking and driving. He was arrested for DUI multiple times and had to complete treatment as part of his sentence. He also became involved in the Montgomery County Veterans Court program because of his suspensions.

In 2013, he was diagnosed with alcohol-related problems. He had been undergoing treatment and counseling. Despite these challenges, he remarried in 2013. His new wife, Jennifer Ovdiyenko Stone, and he welcomed a new baby. Stone appeared to be trying to move forward with his life, but tensions from his past relationships loomed over him.

Murder Story

On December 15, 2014, Bradley William Stone committed a series of shootings that resulted in the deaths of six family members.

The rampage began early in the morning when he first attacked his ex-wife's mother and grandmother at their home in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. There, he killed Joanne Gilbert, age 57, and Patricia Hill, age 75. Their bodies were discovered at the scene with signs of violence.

Stone then moved to his ex-wife’s apartment in Harleysville. Inside, he shot Nicole Stone, age 33, multiple times while their two daughters were present but unharmed. He fled the scene with the two girls but later left them with a neighbor.

His next location was his ex-wife's sister's home in Souderton. There, he encountered Patricia Flick, her husband Aaron Flick, and their 14-year-old daughter, Nina Flick.

In this tragic event, all three were killed, and their 17-year-old son, Anthony, was seriously injured while trying to defend his sister.

A manhunt ensued after the shootings, leading to a search in nearby wooded areas. Authorities found Bradley Stone's body two days later in the woods near his home in Pennsburg. His cause of death was not immediately clear, as it was believed he may have taken his own life. The investigation revealed that he had injuries, but no definitive cause of death was determined at the time.
