Bio

Andrew Wessel Six was born on May 14, 1965. He grew up in the small city of Ottumwa, Iowa. As a child, he faced challenges in his family life. There are few details available about his early years, including the nature of his family relationships and his education.

Six had a troubled adolescence. He became involved in minor criminal activity during his teenage years. He was arrested for theft at a young age. Over time, this behavior escalated. By the time he reached adulthood, he had accumulated multiple arrests for theft and other offenses.

In the late 1980s, Andrew Six's life took a significant turn. He became deeply involved in criminal behaviors that would eventually define his later life. This included serious crimes that lead to his arrest in 1987, which would mark the beginning of his infamous reputation.

Murder Story

Andrew Wessel Six was involved in a series of murders in the 1980s. The first known incidents occurred in April 1984 in Wapello County, Iowa. The victims were Justin Hook Jr., his fiancée Tina Lade, and his mother Sara Link. Their bodies showed signs of being beaten to death with a blunt object. The investigation found footprints at the crime scenes, which later matched Six's footwear. Despite being a suspect, he was not arrested at that time due to insufficient evidence.

In 1987, Six abducted and murdered a 12-year-old girl named Kathy Allen in Ottumwa, Iowa. He, along with his uncle Donald Petary, posed as potential buyers of a truck to gain entry into the Allen family's home. They overpowered the adults and took Kathy, along with her mother, hostage. During the crime, Six raped Kathy's older sister. After a struggle, the adults escaped, but Kathy was taken by Six.

The police arrested Six and Petary in Texas the next day. Kathy's body was later found in a ditch in Schuyler County, Missouri, with evidence indicating she had died from a knife wound. Six was convicted of first-degree murder and received a death sentence.

Years later, increased forensic capabilities led to a re-examination of the evidence from the 1984 murders. DNA evidence from Tina Lade's jeans matched Six, linking him to the triple homicide. Although he denied knowing Lade, the DNA and other evidence confirmed his involvement.

Andrew Six was executed by lethal injection in Missouri on August 20, 1997. His crimes left a lasting impact on the victims' families and the communities affected by his actions.
