Andrew Wamsley was born on July 30, 1984. He was the second child of Rick and Suzanna Wamsley. Andrew grew up in Mansfield, Texas. His family was well-off, and he enjoyed a comfortable lifestyle during his early years.
Andrew began dating Chelsea Richardson in January 2003. This relationship became important in his life, but his parents did not approve of Chelsea. There were reported tensions between Andrew and his parents about this relationship.
murder story
On the night of December 11, 2003, Rick and Suzanna Wamsley were murdered in their home in Mansfield, Texas. The crime was carried out by Susana Toledano, a friend of Andrew Wamsley. Andrew had arranged for this murder along with his girlfriend, Chelsea Richardson, and Toledano. They planned the murder to access the Wamsleys' estate, which was valued at $1.65 million.
Andrew and Chelsea had started plotting the murder of Andrew's parents in October 2003. They also intended to kill Andrew's older sister, Sarah, but she was not home at the time of the murders.
Prior to the successful attempt, there was a failed attempt to kill the Wamsleys on November 9, 2003. During this attempt, Toledano was reportedly forced to shoot at the gas tank of the Wamsleys' Jeep Laredo.
After the murders, the authorities arrested the conspirators. For her role in the killings, Susana Toledano accepted a plea deal. She pleaded guilty in January 2005 and agreed to testify against Andrew and Chelsea.
Chelsea Richardson was later tried and convicted of capital murder in May 2005. After a brief deliberation, the jury sentenced her to death, making her the first woman sentenced to death in Tarrant County, Texas.
Andrew Wamsley was tried as well. He was convicted of capital murder on March 5, 2006, and sentenced to life in prison. The courts decided he did not pose a future danger to society.
Hilario Cardenas, who had provided the gun used in the murders, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder and received a 50-year sentence.
This crime shocked the community due to the involvement of Andrew Wamsley, the son of victims, and the planning that led to such brutal acts against his own family.
