Bio

Anatoly Yelemianovich Slivko was born on December 28, 1938, in the Soviet Union. He grew up in a typical Soviet family and went on to have a normal childhood in a community that respected family values. As he grew older, he became known for his involvement in local activities. Slivko was a married man and had two young children of his own.

In 1961, when he was 23 years old, Slivko experienced a traumatic event that would deeply impact his future. He witnessed a serious traffic accident where a boy in a Young Pioneers uniform was killed. The scene of the accident left a lasting impression on him. He recalled the smell of gasoline and fire vividly.

By 1964, Slivko founded a children's club called Chergid. This club was similar to the Boy Scouts and focused on outdoor activities and adventure. He quickly became a respected member of his community because of his role in leading the club. The children in the club looked up to him, and he enjoyed their admiration.

Slivko used his position in the children's club to build close relationships with boys who were usually between 13 and 17 years old. He gained their trust and often spoke about exciting projects or experiments he wanted to film. The boys were eager to participate, believing they would be part of something special.

Over the years, Slivko interacted with many boys through the club. He would often form strong friendships, and he was seen as a mentor figure. However, these friendships had a dark side, as Slivko's experiences and fantasies started to transform over time.

Murder Story

Anatoly Slivko committed a series of murders between 1964 and 1985 in Nevinnomyssk, Russia. His first known victim was an unidentified homeless boy, whom he killed in 1964. Slivko claimed this death was unintentional, but once the boy was unconscious, he dismembered the body and buried it. He destroyed all evidence of the crime, including photographs and film.

In 1973, a 15-year-old boy named Aleksander Nesmeyanov disappeared. Later, in 1975, another boy, 11-year-old Andrei Pogasyan, went missing. The police were alerted by Andrei’s mother, who mentioned Slivko's video recordings in the forest. However, the police did not take action against him since he was a respected filmmaker.

Slivko's pattern continued over the years, with another boy, 13-year-old Sergei Fatsiev, disappearing in 1980. He killed a 15-year-old named Slava Khovistik in 1982. The final murder occurred on July 23, 1985, when 13-year-old Sergei Pavlov vanished after telling a neighbor he was going to meet Slivko.

In November 1985, prosecutor Tamara Languyeva initiated an investigation into the disappearances linked to Slivko's children's club, Chergid. During the inquiry, many boys who had attended the club reported experiencing "temporary amnesia" due to Slivko's "experiments." Following this investigation, Slivko was arrested in December 1985. He faced charges of seven murders, seven counts of sexual abuse, and necrophilia.

In early 1986, Slivko guided investigators to the burial sites of six of his victims, but he could not find the body of his first victim. He was sentenced to death later that year. While on death row in Novocherkassk prison, Slivko assisted the police in apprehending another serial killer, Andrei Chikatilo. Just hours after providing this information, Slivko was executed in September 1989.
