2011 - 2012Abduseit Ormanov was born in Uzbekistan. Growing up, Ormanov lived in a time when the country was transitioning from Soviet rule to independence. This period brought both opportunities and struggles for its citizens. The community life, traditions, and economy were all affected by this change.
Abduseit Ormanov was a serial killer active between 2011 and 2012. He and his accomplice, Polat Pardaliyev, targeted women in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Together, they committed a series of brutal crimes that included rape, robbery, and murder.
The pair approached women under the guise of offering taxi services, using a Mercedes Benz 180-C. After luring the victims to deserted locations, they would assault them and then strangle them to death. Once the women were dead, they would steal their money and valuables.
Investigators worked to solve these heinous crimes by interviewing around 2,000 witnesses. They also checked hundreds of Mercedes Benz car owners and analyzed data from approximately 50,000 mobile phones to piece together information about the suspects and their victims.
Abduseit Ormanov and Polat Pardaliyev were eventually caught. In 2014, they were both sentenced to life in prison: Ormanov in Uzbekistan and Pardaliyev in Kazakhstan. Their criminal activities shocked both countries and generated significant public fear.
