Abdelaâli Hadi was born in 1962 in Morocco. Not much is known about his early life, but records suggest he lived a relatively unnoticed existence before his crimes came to light. He worked low-skilled jobs and was seen as socially isolated. He had no formal psychiatric diagnosis on record, but his later actions revealed deep psychological disturbances and violent tendencies, especially toward children. He lived in the city of Taroudant, where he targeted vulnerable boys from poor families, often street children.

murder story

Between 2000 and 2004, Abdelaâli Hadi murdered nine boys aged 11 to 16 in the city of Taroudant, Morocco. His method typically involved luring young boys to his home or isolated areas, sexually assaulting them, then killing them — often by strangulation or bludgeoning. He buried several victims on the rooftop of his home, and others in nearby locations.

The case came to light when authorities discovered human remains on the roof of a residence in Taroudant. An investigation quickly led to Hadi, who was arrested in 2004. Upon questioning, he confessed to the murders in chilling detail, explaining how he selected and killed his victims. His confessions were backed by forensic evidence found at the scene.

In 2004, Hadi was convicted and sentenced to death. However, Morocco has not carried out executions in decades, so he remained imprisoned. He died on May 6, 2022, reportedly due to health complications while serving his sentence.
