On July 22, 1881, Jeffrey Dahmer offered a group of 3 men $100 to join him back at his apartment for some beer and naked photography. Although two of the men declined, 32-year-old Tracy Edwards took Dahmer up on the offer. Upon arriving at Dahmer’s apartment, Edwards immediately notices a foul smell along with several boxes of muriatic acid. After some light conversation, Dahmer distracts Edwards by showing off his fish tank. As Edwards lets his guard down, Dahmer slaps a handcuff to one of Edward’s wrists. “What’s happening!”, Edward’s exclaims. Dahmer then leads Edwards into his bedroom where a 57-gallon drum tank is sitting in the corner letting off a putrid smell.

Dahmer pulls out a knife and tells Edwards he is going to take nude pictures of him. He then unbuttons Edward’s shirt and places his head on Edward’s chest. Listening to his heartbeat, Dahmers says “I’m going to eat your heart”. For over 4 hours Edwards talks Dahmer out of it, pleading to cooperate and convincing him that they’re friends. After finally convincing Dahmer to share a beer in the living room, Edwards waits for Dahmer to drop his guard and gives him a swift punch in the face, running out the door for his life. After escaping with the handcuff still dangling to his wrist, Edwards manages to comes across two Milwaukee police officers.

He tells the officers what has happened, convincing them to follow him back to Dahmer’s apartment to investigate. After Edwards and the police officers arrive, one of the officers takes a quick peak around. He quickly uncovers a stack of horrific Polaroid pictures displaying several dismembered body parts and murder victims. The officer looks around the room and realized the photos have been taken in the same apartment they are standing in. The officers immediately detain Dahmer, tackling him to the ground. Dahmer shouts “For what I did I should be dead!”

Here is a list of what was found in his apartment:

  • 4 severed heads in the refrigerator
  • 7 skulls in his bedroom
  • 2 human hearts
  • 1 bag containing arm muscle
  • 1 entire human torso in the freezer
  • 1 bag of various organs and flesh
  • 2 entire skeletons
  • 1 pair of severed hands
  • 1 mummified scalp
  • 3 dismembered torsos dissolving in acid

“It was more like dismantling someone’s museum than an actual crime scene.”
